SITIA (Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications) is an annual conference held by Electrical Engineering Department of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya with the goal of urging the development of researches in Intelligent Technology and generally in Electrical Engineering. The Engineering Program is set up to urge the increase of new ideas and information exchange between researchers and engineers involved in the development, design, and application process in the fields listed below. SITIA 2010 is the 11th SITIA held since the first one held on 2000. SITIA 2010 will take place on October 2010.
Many researchers join this event also because of the increase of the event’s publication, especially with the existence of SITIA website which was initiated on 2006. There are a few progress o SITIA noted annually, such as the addition of topics happened on 2007 and 2009. Also, on SITIA 2009 was made a new session which was poster session, which happened to be very appealing for the participants.
Authors who join the event are not only local but also international. The local authors include those from Java, Sulawesi, Sumatera, Nusa Tenggara Timur and Kalimantan. The international authors include those from Asian and European countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh. Japan, Germany, Holland, and a few other countries. At least more than 70 Indonesian state universities, 13 foreign universities, and 6 institutions have joined SITIA.
